광야에서 만나는 십자가
출애굽기 12장 1-14절, 17장 1-7절, 민수기 20장 1-13절

[출12:1-14]
1 여호와께서 애굽 땅에서 모세와 아론에게 일러 말씀하시되
2 이 달을 너희에게 달의 시작 곧 해의 첫 달이 되게 하고
3 너희는 이스라엘 온 회중에게 말하여 이르라 이 달 열흘에 너희 각자가 어린 양을 취할지니 각 가족대로 그 식구를 위하여 어린 양을 취하되
4 그 어린 양에 대하여 식구가 너무 적으면 그 집의 이웃과 함께 사람 수를 따라서 하나를 취하며 각 사람이 먹을 수 있는 분량에 따라서 너희 어린 양을 계산할 것이며
5 너희 어린 양은 흠 없고 일 년 된 수컷으로 하되 양이나 염소 중에서 취하고
6 이 달 열나흗날까지 간직하였다가 해 질 때에 이스라엘 회중이 그 양을 잡고
7 그 피를 양을 먹을 집 좌우 문설주와 인방에 바르고
8 그 밤에 그 고기를 불에 구워 무교병과 쓴 나물과 아울러 먹되
9 날것으로나 물에 삶아서 먹지 말고 머리와 다리와 내장을 다 불에 구워 먹고
10 아침까지 남겨두지 말며 아침까지 남은 것은 곧 불사르라
11 너희는 그것을 이렇게 먹을지니 허리에 띠를 띠고 발에 신을 신고 손에 지팡이를 잡고 급히 먹으라 이것이 여호와의 유월절이니라
12 내가 그 밤에 애굽 땅에 두루 다니며 사람이나 짐승을 막론하고 애굽 땅에 있는 모든 처음 난 것을 다 치고 애굽의 모든 신을 내가 심판하리라 나는 여호와라
13 내가 애굽 땅을 칠 때에 그 피가 너희가 사는 집에 있어서 너희를 위하여 표적이 될지라 내가 피를 볼 때에 너희를 넘어가리니 재앙이 너희에게 내려 멸하지 아니하리라
14 너희는 이 날을 기념하여 여호와의 절기를 삼아 영원한 규례로 대대로 지킬지니라
[출17:1-7]
1 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 여호와의 명령대로 신 광야에서 떠나 그 노정대로 행하여 르비딤에 장막을 쳤으나 백성이 마실 물이 없는지라
2 백성이 모세와 다투어 이르되 우리에게 물을 주어 마시게 하라 모세가 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 나와 다투느냐 너희가 어찌하여 여호와를 시험하느냐
3 거기서 백성이 목이 말라 물을 찾으매 그들이 모세에게 대하여 원망하여 이르되 당신이 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어서 우리와 우리 자녀와 우리 가축이 목말라 죽게 하느냐
4 모세가 여호와께 부르짖어 이르되 내가 이 백성에게 어떻게 하리이까 그들이 조금 있으면 내게 돌을 던지겠나이다
5 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 백성 앞을 지나서 이스라엘 장로들을 데리고 나일 강을 치던 네 지팡이를 손에 잡고 가라
6 내가 호렙 산에 있는 그 반석 위 거기서 네 앞에 서리니 너는 그 반석을 치라 그것에서 물이 나오리니 백성이 마시리라 모세가 이스라엘 장로들의 목전에서 그대로 행하니라
7 그가 그 곳 이름을 맛사 또는 므리바라 불렀으니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 다투었음이요 또는 그들이 여호와를 시험하여 이르기를 여호와께서 우리 중에 계신가 안 계신가 하였음이더라
[민20:1-13]
1 첫째 달에 이스라엘 자손 곧 온 회중이 신 광야에 이르러 백성이 가데스에 머물더니 미리암이 거기서 죽으매 거기에 장사되니라
2 회중이 물이 없으므로 모세와 아론에게로 모여드니라
3 백성이 모세와 다투어 말하여 이르되 우리 형제들이 여호와 앞에서 죽을 때에 우리도 죽었더라면 좋을 뻔하였도다
4 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 회중을 이 광야로 인도하여 우리와 우리 짐승이 다 여기서 죽게 하느냐
5 너희가 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 나오게 하여 이 나쁜 곳으로 인도하였느냐 이 곳에는 파종할 곳이 없고 무화과도 없고 포도도 없고 석류도 없고 마실 물도 없도다
6 모세와 아론이 회중 앞을 떠나 회막 문에 이르러 엎드리매 여호와의 영광이 그들에게 나타나며
7 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되
8 지팡이를 가지고 네 형 아론과 함께 회중을 모으고 그들의 목전에서 너희는 반석에게 명령하여 물을 내라 하라 네가 그 반석이 물을 내게 하여 회중과 그들의 짐승에게 마시게 할지니라
9 모세가 그 명령대로 여호와 앞에서 지팡이를 잡으니라
10 모세와 아론이 회중을 그 반석 앞에 모으고 모세가 그들에게 이르되 반역한 너희여 들으라 우리가 너희를 위하여 이 반석에서 물을 내랴 하고
11 모세가 그의 손을 들어 그의 지팡이로 반석을 두 번 치니 물이 많이 솟아나오므로 회중과 그들의 짐승이 마시니라
12 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 이르시되 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하고 이스라엘 자손의 목전에서 내 거룩함을 나타내지 아니한 고로 너희는 이 회중을 내가 그들에게 준 땅으로 인도하여 들이지 못하리라 하시니라
13 이스라엘 자손이 여호와와 다투었으므로 이를 므리바 물이라 하니라 여호와께서 그들 중에서 그 거룩함을 나타내셨더라
[Ex 12:1-14, NIV]
1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,
2 "This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.
3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.
4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat.
5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.
6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.
7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.
8 That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast.
9 Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire—with the head, legs and internal organs.
10 Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it.
11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the LORD's Passover.
12 "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
14 "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD—a lasting ordinance.
[Ex 17:1-7, NIV]
1 The whole Israelite community set out from the Desert of Sin, traveling from place to place as the LORD commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
2 So they quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water to drink."
Moses replied, "Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the LORD to the test?"
3 But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?"
4 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, "What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me."
5 The LORD answered Moses, "Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
6 I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
7 And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the LORD saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?"
[Nu 20:1-13, NIV]
1 In the first month the whole Israelite community arrived at the Desert of Zin, and they stayed at Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.
2 Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron.
3 They quarreled with Moses and said, "If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the LORD!
4 Why did you bring the LORD's community into this wilderness, that we and our livestock should die here?
5 Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!"
6 Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.
7 The LORD said to Moses,
8 "Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink."
9 So Moses took the staff from the LORD's presence, just as he commanded him.
10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, "Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?"
11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
12 But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them."
13 These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD and where he was proved holy among them.
